Makaroonilaatikko

Hola!
Sorry kun täällä blogissa on ollut taas vähän hiljaista, mutta se johtuu siitä että täällä ei oo ollu hiljaista  vaan oon kokoajan ollut menossa, ja iltaisin kun olisi aikaa kirjoitella oon meinannu nukahtaa siinä vaiheessa kun alan availee konetta. Yritän nyt kuitenkin alkaa päivittelee useemmin (ja kantelee kameraa mukana ahkerammin). No mutta niinkun edellisessä postauksessa lupailin,tässä olisi nytten postaus mun viimeviime viikonlopusta ;)

Janica, joka on toinen Suomalainen vaihtari joka on ollut täällä jo heinäkuusta asti. Oli huvittavaa tavata Janica, koska olen itse lukenu Janican blogia ja seurannut Janican aussivuotta heinäkuusta lähtien, ja se vaan on mun mielestä tosi outoa tavata joku jonka blogia seurailee! Päädyttiin tekemään makaroonilaatikkoa ja leipomaan kreippikakku (koska meillä on ihan liika kreippimehua..long story). Makaroonilaatikko onnistu tosi hyvin siihen nähden että se kuuluu mun kokkaustaitojen harmaalle alueelle, ja Janicaa ei yleensä edes päästetä keittiöön (sorry paljastin :P). Mun hostsisko ja sen poikaystävä näyttivät tykkäävän, ja ehkä teen makaroonilaatikkoa joskus uudelleen. Ruoan jälkeen vietettiin koko ilta random youtube videoita katellen ja Remix karkkeja syöden. Oli tosi kiva ilta!

Sunnuntaina me käytiin kävelyllä, joka kyllä jäi aika lyhyeksi koska oli ihan älyttömän kuuma sää. Iltapäivällä vietiin Janica juna-asemalle ja illemmalla mentiin Vietnamilaiseen ravintolaan keitolle ja skypettelin perheen kanssa. Janicaa oon taas näkemässä kahden viikon kuluttua kun ollaan menossa Good Life Festareille, joka on tosi iso alaikäisten festari Melbournessa ja Sydneyssä. Can't wait! Se on siis parin viikon päästä.

Hola!
I'm sorry that this blog has been so quiet for the past week, that's because I've had all kind of things to do and always when I've got to the computer in the evening I've been so tired that I haven't even tried to post. I'll now try to start to post more often (and to carry my camera with me more often). this post is about my not the previous weekend but the one before it :)

Janica, who's another Finnish exchange student came to our place. She has been in Australia since July and it was really weird to meet her because I've been reading her blog and following her year, and I think it's weird to meet a blogger who's blog you read! We cooked makaroonilaatikko, which is a Finnish dish (and not the same thing as macaroni and cheese! ;D). We also baked a grape fruit cake, because we had too much grape fruit juice and had to use it some how. The makaroonilaatikko turned out quite good and my host sister and her boyfriend seemed to like it ;). Maybe I'll make it again some day! After dinner we spent the rest of the night by watching prom pictures (because the Finnish high school prom had just been) and weird Youtube videos and ate Finnish candy (or lollies as the Aussies would say ).

The next day we went for a walk, which was quite short because the weather was hot. In the afternoon we dropped Janica at the train station and in the evening we went to a Vietnamese restaurant to have soup. I also skyped with my family what I do every Sunday evening. I'll see Janica again in a couple of weeks because I'm going to Good Life Festival with her. Can't wait!
